He's 38 and was only okay for the New York Rangers in a back-up role last year, but we're looking at the kind of awful goaltending that comes around only once in a generation. Skinner/Campbell is going to compete with Conklin/Markkanen/Morrisson and Shtalenkov/Essensa for worst goalie team of all time at this rate. It'll likely be months before we can afford to get our Salo/Roloson (especially since the GM is a complete waste of time), so we may need a stop gap just to stay in the hunt here.

I can see the 725k deal with a 3.225M bonus for Halak if he plays 2 games.
