The Vancouver Canucks have traded for defenceman Ethan Bear from the Carolina Hurricanes. Carolina will also send minor league forward Lane Pederson in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round draft pick while also retaining $400,000 of Bear's salary in the deal.

Either way, sounds like the Canucks D is really thin and they should be tired. I'll be watching this one at a pub with close to equal numbers of fans for both fanbases. Hope I am on the receiving end of the likely beer bets placed before puck drop!

I don't pay a ton of attention to the Canucks but I thought I read Bear was playing alright for them so when I saw that on twitter, I was surprised.
