I'm starting to really believe Tippett wants to go home early. Just is just so low energy now along with the team.

Man, Tippett's belief in the Battle Level of Smith is just endless. Guy gets lit up and possibly hurt playing his first game in weeks, so we immediately just go back to the well. Unbelievable.
Skinner is young and got lit up the last time he played too though, sooooo, you know that Tippett's going to hold that against him for a long, long time.

I guess giving Skinner a game against a terrible team could make things complicated. Smith playing like crap followed up by a Skinner win? That's bad optics for the Battler. Play Smith, best case he wins and you look smart. Worst, he loses and you blame the team for letting him down. I guess extra worst is he gets injured as we allow more odd man rushes and he pulls something going hard a couple nights in a row. What are the chances of that though? Pretty damn unlikely I'd say!
