1 Cup

This has all the makings of a humbling experience. The young Flames are on a tear right now, 3/4s of the Oilers team seem to be skating in mud and the metrics reflect it, D has been optional, Cooley has been lights out and Jarry has been suspect.

This is a must show up game for the Oilers. Provincial rival that seems to be establishing an identity of playing hard for 60 and not giving up much. Young team with limited experience versus a team of established, seasoned vets. Let's hope the Oil show up for this one.

If we can’t get up for this game we could start to see our great start to the season just melt away. The Lames are hot right now, we should want to end that. We also have to make up for some complete crap efforts from everyone but the top handful of players in this lineup. Let’s see if this team can actually get something done through the lineup. The Lames are not that good, it should not be that hard to win matchups against their depth. Not even demanding lots of goals from our depth, at least win the possession battle.

Agreed with this. Outside of the Canucks and Leafs game we haven’t been blown out by any team. This is a game the stars need to get up for. Flames are absolutely playing on fire and look great. Good young team and full of energy. They are headed in the right direction. Really wish Levi was back for this game, but such as life. Oilers need to show up tonight and just hope we can somehow get a goal or two from the bottom 6 to help.

Dickinson is back! But Hyman is out (put on IR--damn! It's like wack-a-mole with these injuries).

As mentioned earlier, Ekholm cleared for duty and in for Walman. We'll see if a healthy scratch is a wake up call for Jake.

Howard-Dickinson-Joseph
Formenton-Michaels-Frederic

Ekholm-Bouchard
Shea-Murphy
Mukhamadullin-Emberson

Jarry

After tonight RNH will be just two games shy of Kevin Lowe's record for Oiler games played. So if all goes well he'll tie him at MSG on Sunday and then pass him in New Jersey on Tuesday.

If Nuge gets a mysterious injury before then, I might start to suspect Lowe of taking a page from Tonya Harding in a desperate bid to keep his record.

Hope Ekholm doesn't get any hits to the head tonight. That's a quick turnaround after a concussion.

Hyman gets hurt a lot lately. Beenso injury prone. It’s frustrating.

Regardless McDavid usually goes God mode against Calgary, so I’m expecting nothing less. Calgary has been rolling lately, but I’m trusting we can get this win

Jarry in net

So I’ll go with a 5-4 oilers win
