We love to embarrass ourselves on HNIC.

Never understood why we didn't give Stolarz a chance here. He's a decent enough goalie, and definitely better than Jarry.

Oilersability to analyze and evaluate goalie talent has been a franchise problem for at least a decade..
The latest approach is the 'ol shotgun approach.. tons of prospects in teh AHL/ECHL .. hope someone can play.. not exactly a focused approach.. Jarry has been a dissappointment. His trade was a panic move.. similar to the Walman trade.. but then re-signing him 7x7 + NMC was even dumber

Truth!

Stan "I am not a smart man" Bowman. Walman is made of glass and when he's on the ice he's a liability.

On the radio they were saying he was better than Nurse, horrible decision to sign him for that long.

The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Generally Disappointed.

*correction .. I meant to type "shotgun"

yeah the Walman situation is a real worry.. how do their scouts miss the fact Walman is such slow boa? t.. guy can barely make a pivot.. and I've seen him tangle up his own feet and trip himself a number of times this year just trying to change direction.. scouts missing his poor skating is one thing.. that cou d explain teh trade.. but re-sugning.. thats on Stan and Co... including Knob

Jarry and Walman are the new whipping boys, and deservedly so. Walman looks so lost out there sometimes. Guy is just all in on Nurse-style chaos in his game. One good playoff run after we got him and this guy has been all over the place since.

Jarry is competing with goalies in the 80's for worst sav% and GAA ~20 games into their career with a new team.

Yeah we just get out of the Nurse tire-fire.. then we start two more .. Walman with another 7 years at 8M.. and we have Jarry another year at 5.3M.. at least Jarry is shorter term pain.. the big problem with Walman is his NMC.. you can't even trade the pylon even if you found a sucker to take him.. the guy can't skate.. about as agile as a block of concrete.

All the millions the Olers are paying for scouts and analytics.. and Walman is the result.. ?
