RNH expected back tonight.
Curious to see if he gets his #1 power play spot back from Podkolzin, whose looked pretty good there.
I assume yes. Hopefully he'll be even more helpful on our lackluster kill.

I could see them changing them out any time the PP slumps. Nuge quietly runs that PP from the bumper position at the top of the circle, but when that goes stale, or another team has a PK that defends it well, you have nuclear 1B to fall back on.
Decent problem to have if coached that way.

Kinda neat we still managed 31.0% PP without Nuge. Last year we finished with 30.6%
McDrai and Bouch are absolutely on fire though to start this year, so maybe Nuge punches it back towards our old record 32.4% pace and beyond :)
Really though, we need a 2nd line to get rolling. Does Babcock have some good tips for Nuge to be an effective 5v5 offensive player without McDavid or Drai? Hope so.

As long as we don't blow up and loose badly, it's going to be a marker for where we are. We've played some good teams so far and done well, now it's a very good team and how close to that status are we.
As for Nuge, straight back onto the top PP line. Podz has started to understand his role on it, which is brilliant, but Nuge knows it like the back of his hand. McDavid does his thing of skating and dragging people about, Hyman sits in front of the net, Bouch is waiting for the bomb, Drai is in his office with freedom to skate like McDavid an Nuge is the cog that makes the machine work. My hope is that with Podz going to the second unit we give them a bit more time on the ice rather than forcing the top line out for 90 seconds of the PP.

Projected lineup from Oilers site:
Podkolzin - McDavid - Draisaitl
Hyman - Nugent-Hopkins - Kapanen
Formenton - Michaels - Joseph
Frederic - Dach - Howard
Ekholm - Bouchard
Shea - Murphy
Walman - Emberson
Levi
Jarry
So Hallander comes out, with Dach going down to the fourth line.
