Probably worth noting too that Babcock appears to be immediately starting with McDrai together. He has made it clear his idea is that this will provide more ice time for other guys to make an impact. This has forever been a dream of oilers coaches, having the 1 super Elite line and then other lines can have ample opportunity to contribute as well. It has always turned out the same way ... 1 line team, other lines just barely surviving when they play.
Guess we will see if Babcock can somehow inspire what has seemed impossible before. Guess most of it rides on inspiring Nuge to get back to his rookie days of actually being creative and holding onto pucks. Been a long time since Nuge has looked like he can push 5v5 offense.

I think that McD and Leon will be togetehr at hoem when you can line match.. but on teh road I think they'll mix it up .. too easy with last change to stick a checking line on them all game..
I also like (and have liked) McDavid pop in on teh PK once and a while at random.. the team on the PP has to start thinking about covering McD.. D-men can't commit 100% to offense.. need to keep McDavid in front of them.. throwing McD in at random totally spooks their PP coverage.. doesn't even have to touch the puck and he's partially neutralized some of their PP schemes.
Regarding second line center.. Stauff.. Seravelli.. now Friedman all mentioning Kirby Dach as a add by Oilers.. Smoke > Fire? .. take it for what its worth.. if Dach could remian healthy he'd fit in well.
I think if RNH-Hyman stick as the secnd line, that Formenton will be getting a look up there before too long.. needs a month to adjust to the NHL flow.. he's already on the top PK forward pair.. 2nd fastest guy on the team is eventually going to get a test drive 5v5
