We get the baby version of the battle of Alberta tonight from the Saddledome at 6pm.
Here's the Oilers' lineup:
Forwards
Isaac Howard - Josh Samanski - Quinn Hutson
Rhett Pitlick - Viljami Marjala - David Lewandowski
Will Nicholl - Owen Michaels - Simon Tassey
Ryan Cameron - Rudolfs Berzkalns - Caden Harvey
Olli Wahlroos
Defence
Damien Carfagna - Beau Akey
Andrew Robinson - Tomas Cibulka
Samuel Sjolund - Zach Bookman
Kyle Heger
Goalies
Nathaniel Day
Eemil Vinni
Samuel Jonsson
Always enjoy seeing the prospects getting to wear the big jersey for one genuine game. Obviously outside of the top forward line (and maybe Akey on defense if he can actually not get injured) nobody else should be factoring into this season.
No Clattenburg--is he injured (haven't seen that written and can't find it).
Edit: Just found it--Clattenburg is injured. Too bad--he certainly would have been the most interesting player to watch in this game.

Didn't see any of it, but I hear we won 6-1. I don't care what level it is. Always nice to get a big W over the Flames.

Was watching casually while I did other things.
From what I saw the Hutson/Howard/Samanski line dominated the Flames rookies while all three of our goalies put in great performances (one period each).
I wasn't paying that close attention, but for a rebuilding team, the Flames prospects sure didn't look too hot.

I feel like this Hutson kid is gonna end up as a pretty good 2nd liner minimum for some other team if he doesn't eventually get a decent shot here. Any time I manage to see him, he has that confidence with the puck that his brother has. Not as elite of course, but feel like there really is something there that is just waiting to finally show itself at the NHL level.
Guess we have him as RFA for 2 more years after this, but if he keeps getting no good chances this year, maybe we just toss him off as part of a deal or he asks to be moved.
