Does seem like we're sitting things out. Paralyzed by the NUrse situation. Maybe that's a good thing? We really need to fix this team with more trades than overpaying UFA's. But, it's Bowman and gang. So little faith good trades are possible with this management.

Well you can look at it two ways.. the Oilers replacement cost for Nurse just went up.. unless you TRADE for an undervalued (by his GM) D-man on a term contract that will do as good, or hopefully better than Nurse.. or .. Nure's trade VALUE just went up trade assets back..
After the dust settles Oil may in the end just wind up keeping him and see if Babcock can re-shape his game.

Wow. That Viel guy on Anaheim turned the hype he got for “shutting down” a broken ankle McDavid into a 5x2.5M deal with Tampa. Guy doesn’t even have 100 games under his belt at 29. 15 career point in 99 games.

You know what... let Nurse come back. Let's watch that whole situation blow up monumentally under Babcock. Nurse has the commitment level of a puppy exhibiting substantial ADHD tendencies, so I'm sure the Babcock & Smith systems are going to work out so well. So do most of the core of this team. At least we picked up a smaller-sized prospect goalie.
Roster is diminished, going the prospect route, can't get any cap relief and are getting outbid & potentially Babcock'd in FA...
I'm sure 97 is looking at the results from today and thinking... yup, these guys have got this figured out.
This is just AWESOME.
