Sounds like he's fed up with the Yzer'plan. 8.7M cap hit until 30/31. Infinite speed and close to a PPG guy. Howard, a 1st, plus McDavid's firstborn get the ball rolling?

He probably somehow ends up with Vegas, lol.

Any chance Yzerman wants a big dman that skates like the wind with an elite athletic pedigree? :)

Reporting this morning suggesting Larkin saying he's only willing to waive his NMC to go to Vegas, Minnesota or Florida. If I'm Yzerman, I'm telling him we'll see you at training camp then.

This is hilarious to me. Player requests trade while under contract and has the NMC, but limits the team so much that the team has no incentive to trade him. He is under contract by the team, so what is he going to do, not report next season? I suppose he could, and it could be the last straw for Yzerman's job, but he will still miss time either way, and he is just asking for a standoff right now with the terms he has given.

If he no-reported, his contract COULD be terminated (no pay but team gets cap relief and loses their asset) or the team could just stop paying him (no pay, no cap relief but the team retains their rights).
But I can't see him pulling that. Larkin seems like the kind of player who will show up and put the effort in, even if he wants out. 28-29 his NTC turns to a 10 team no trade.
