Mercy kill at this point. Time to drop a nuke this team. Wish all management and coaching could be wiped out but sadly bowman will probably still get 1-2 more years to fail

I don’t hate a few of the acquisitions, but not addressing massive holes in the lineup for basically a decade is inexcusable.

Fun to see Wallstedt bring his team to the 2nd round.

Play of the game IMO is the ref and that call on Nuge. Not sure it would have been much different, but just took the wind right out of their sails

And hilariously the standard of the super weak Nuge call has never lead to any calls on the ducks. We are just gonna have a zero PP game tonight?

You can thank the ref Brandin Blandina from Colorado .. I'm sure he has a Team USA jersey under those stripes.

Another goal where they've taken the puck off the boards with 2 on 1 against an Oiler... Feel for Ingram and Jarry, neither have played badly, neither have cost us games and yet we are leaking goals all the time.

I sincerely hope this marks the end of Knoblauch's tenure with the club.

He's barely coaching this team. How many games did the team offer a paltry effort? Way too many.

All season... "we're looking forward to playing meaningful games... the regular season is a drag"... and the playoffs show up and this team is playing the same goddamn hockey as the regular season.

This game is literally looking like Quenneville and Knoblauch met before the game and had the following dialogue...

Joel: "So we're flipping the script tonight; expect us to come out hard and push you guys the way you did in the last game. Are you planning on making any adjustments to stop that from happening?"

Knob: "Nope. We're good."

Joel: "You sure about that?"

Knob: "Yep"

Joel: "I'm literally telling you what you should expect as a push back effort. You sure you're not going to do anything different?"

Knob: "Nope. I'll probably shorten my bench, if anything. Some guys on this team have far too much energy... they need to burn some of it off. Plus, I'm super happy with the PK, so no changes are needed there."

Joel: "Okay bud. Have fun golfing."

well.. needed a save.. and Ingram wiffs..

60% of that roster didn't make themselves matter .. were insignificant..
Too many slow, weak, uncompetitive players.

Nuge looks like he's done.. hasn't visibly aged but his play is tired looking.

No NHL ready prospects.. and the one they thought they had (Savoie) was invisible.

Every game where it’s on the line the Oilers take the night off.
No urgency, it’s always excuses that they’re hurt.
McDavid and Draisaitl have 1 shot each all game.
Can’t draw a penalty for anything.
Really sick and tired of watching this repeat itself.

Someone said to me that McDavid took the paycut so he could be moved easier if we don’t do well and that’s starting to actually make sense.
I know I’m being emotional right now but where is the drive when it’s all on the line?
This is terrible, the last 2 game 7’s were too.
Come on boys wake up!!!!

Fire the coach and GM, get rid of all the floaters.
Fire them before the third period starts

For real. Ducks haven’t done one thing this game as bad as Nuge’s fictional hold.

4 on 1 in a must win game holy ****
Is this for real?????

Every must win game with the season on the line is the same
McDavid banged up and trying to be too fancy
Nurse dumps in the puck it’s all he knows and goes to icing
Bouchard coughs up another giveaway
Draisaitl is banged up and gives it away
Nuge is a ghost
And our goalie is shaky

When does it end.
I don’t see other teams play like this in must win games

Also I love how often we are running down the clock behind our net like we have the lead… then we come out and just lose the puck or give it away.

Knob best of luck of your future endeavours
We need a coach who’s hard nosed and keeps them boys in line.
Who knows how to play defence.
The second Bruce Cassidy came available, knob should have been replaced.

Have to think Cassidy is going to be hired by the next team that needs a coach.

Hope it’s us because there’s the nail in the coffin.
We could have had 10 men on the ice and they would have still sunk that empty netter.

Knob has no plan just sims through

Ugh. Nice keep in. We have the ducks scrambling and McDavid completely fans on a pass to give the puck away. Perfectly encapsulates his whole series.
