That's how you protect a good first period lead. Got the job done, jump on the plane, get rested and go again Thursday...
14 La Bamba's left........
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers
take me home, country road

Well, we're two for two when it comes to wins on games I've watched this series. I'm glad I took Friday off as I'll be up Thursday night cheering our boys on.
Work is gonna suck tomorrow, but at least it was worth it! 2am here now...time for bed.

Amazing first period but the rest of that was rough to watch but I’ll gladly take the win.
Thought it was crazy not going back to Jarry after he was solid but Ingram was a wall tonight.
Have their energy saved to win game 6 and force game 7

Would sure be nice to get 3 days between games like some of the other teams are getting. That extra day would be big for helping our banged up team.

Can I.. Can I just be a realist here?
The win was great, but all the same issues were there in the second.
Hell of a first period, but in the second the guys sat back again, pucks were being left in the open again, with the only difference was the pressure on the puck holder.
Those rebounds, the Ducks didn't have a player to eat up those rebounds last night, but be sure as heck they will be there next game.
Knobs was right saying the team played too safe and got nervous. Why? They are the god damn Oilers, and they should eat this team without a thought. Yet, they are a scared group. Quite bangs up too but hey we get one more game.
See you Thursday Oilers.. be good, do well.
The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.
Generally Disappointed.

Agreed 100%. We won the 1st period, unanimously. But that's it. The Ducks were easily the better team the last 2 periods. Sure, score effect and all that stuff, but that's not a recipe for success.
Ingram was really good (and a bit lucky a few times). McDavid looked better, but still not close to 100%. Podz might have been our best forward. Surprised to see he only got 12 minutes - felt like I noticed him a whole lot more than that.
Anyway - hope they come out flying tomorrow like they did last night and we get to see game 7 Saturday night!

Agreed with everything said so far. Our first period is always our best, and we come out and play with so much energy. But for some reason, we suck in the second period and makes things very hard on ourselves. It’s very frustrating, but Anaheim had a few chances where they could have tied the game up. Ingram was excellent in that and kept it as it is.
It is what it is, when tomorrow and I think that we win the series. Winning in anaheim is not easy, but pull that off and win at home in game 7.

Was interesting listening to Knob complaining about how his team laid back. He seems to really not want that. He was explaining how the coaching staff has been telling guys what plays they were passing up on by being afraid to push offensively to try to encourage them to make more plays and not hang back.
I guess we can complain that the coaches aren't hitting the right buttons, but this has been an issue long before Knob was here. Not sure what the solution is.
