Man, Penguins getting beat by Flyers at home.. with Vldar in net lol..
I think its the urine yellow colored jerseys they chose to wear.. yuk.. why would you go with something other than your home blacks? Its gotta be the jerseys..

Watched the fairness again at the end of that Utah Vegas game. Vegas probably did a dozen penalty worthy blatant hooked and holds and trips in the last 4 minutes while they were down a goal. They even had a super obvious too many men play where all 6 players were involved that the refs ignored. For reference earlier in the game Utah was called for too many men because a guy coming off not at all involved was a fraction of a second late getting over the boards.
Huge credit to Utah surviving the refs+vegas tag team to close game 2 out.

Guess those refs won't be getting their VIP room lap dances tonight.. have to settle for the Casino buffet :)

Meanwhile this league has managed to make the most simple and objectively black and white rule in the game and turn it into a gong show. The offside replay is completely unnecessary and now they have to decide via replay not only if the puck went in before the player but if a player had "control" of the puck - whatever that means.
And of course we know how that started - they had to figure out a way to allow a Colorado goal that was obviously offside. It's now completely open to interpretation and corruption. Any play that's onside can be called offside and vice versa.

Further to the NHL ref topic.. watching Pens vs Flyers.. the ref totally got sucked into the Flyers gong show.. Pens had a 1-0 lead .. tight game.. then Flyers caused melee where there were 5-6 guys in each penalty box.. of course the ref missed a call vs a Flyer and the Pens went down a man.. cue Flyer PPG.. now 3-1 for Flyers..
Great tactic.. create constant gong-show chaos and trust the refs will blow some calls.. get a PP..

Silver lining. This all has lead to a classic Stu Skinner meltdown. 2 super weak goals to set up the pens for being down 0-3 in the series if they don’t get a third period miracle.

Don't forget the diving call on Crosby after he was smacked in the face with an obvious high stick. Yeah he went down like he was shot, but he's not expecting to get a blade right in the chops there waiting on the faceoff.
