Regulation Wins: 19
OT Losses: 19 (NHL single-season record)

Blues do us a favour and take down the Ducks. We are now first place in the division. Same GP, and we get the tie breaker easily. I think it’s our first time being first in the division after the all star break in almost 40 years.
Now our destiny is in our own hands. Let’s not f it up tonight.

Time for the 3 point game to be implemented!!
Kings, wow. 19 regulation wins in 76 games
@RonoAnalyst
Just quickly put together a table based on the following rules:
- 3 points for a regular win
- 2 points for an overtime win
- 1 point for a tie (shootouts eliminated) or an overtime loss
I’m not sure if it’s ideal, but it seems better to me than the current system.

That is wild.
Under that format the Oilers in 4th of the West wouldn’t even make the top 8 of the East.
This is truly an anomaly year in East/West disparity.

Geniuses at NHL scheduling strike again. Last Friday of the regular season this week, and a grand total of ZERO games.

I love when they have 15 games on a day, and then the next day has 1 game.
Their schedule making program really does stink.

There is a 0% chance Hart would have signed here. He would have had to play with a spotlight on him from the media, after already being convicted by the court of public opinion in Canada. It would have made no sense for him to do that to himself if he truly wanted to regain form in his career.

From his pov I think you're right.. any of those guys trying to come back in Canada would be too tough of a media spotlight.
Wouldn't be surprised if Vegas eventually signs McLeod as well

Detroit went from leading the East Jan 25th to missing the playoffs. A truly remarkable implosion. The Yzerplan waits another year to some to fruition. Probably should fire McLellan, this happening is very Todd McLellan.

People just ruin stuff.
Troy Terry went 58 games without a single hit. People started making a big deal about it, so he went out and actually tried to hit in game 59 to ruin it. Could have been the 1st player to have a 50+ game season with 0 hits. He only had to go 3 more games being his normal allergic to contact self.
Gino Hard @GinoHard_
WE HAVE AN UPDATE 🚨
Troy Terry registered not one, but TWO hits last night vs. Vancouver for a NEW total on the season 🤯😭

Remaining games:
Anaheim: Wild, Predators
Kings: Canucks, Flames
Oilers: Canucks
Knights: Kraken
Mammoth: Jets, Blues
Lots of scenarios still, and the Jets, Blues, Kraken, and Preds have the opportunity to play spoilers.
But let's give Anaheim one win. Kings two. Oilers one. Vegas one. Mammoth one.
That puts it as:
Vegas (95)
Oilers (93)
Kings (93)
Mammoth (WC1) (92)
Ducks (WC2) (92)
Lots riding on that Vegas/Kraken game tonight. If Vegas wins, seems likely we could have another Oilers/LA matchup. If the Kraken win, seems likely it would be Utah or Anaheim. It would be nice to get the division and play one of those two.

Minny did us a solid last night. Crazy how many different matchups are still to be determined with just one game remaining

Honestly, i really do not want the Kings again. I feel like everyone but Oilers fans and the org will go into that series feeling like the Kings deserve to finally win one against us. And Kopitar's last season will be a strong narrative and create sympathy.

I want the Ducks because they have been struggling badly, falling from first in the division. Theoretically, it should be the easiest first round matchup.
In order of preference:
Ducks
Mammoth
Kings
Avalanche

James Mirtle article saying Leafs staff believe MLSE CEO Keith Pelley was using AI to come up with trade possibilities to push on the hockey ops group.
| Quote: | Pelley viewed himself as merely an observer, but others there felt differently. He didn’t sit in silence. He peppered the team’s scouts with questions, demanded more “assets” in trade conversations, and tossed out opinions and ideas.
As one team source put it, fans would have been surprised to see just how involved a non-hockey executive was that day.
Pelley didn’t come empty-handed either. He had notes that included possible trade returns that Leafs staff members believed were generated by Large Language Models and Artificial Intelligence — tools that have become increasingly influential at the top of MLSE but hadn’t been part of the usual process with its NHL team.
Pelley later brushed away any suggestion that he tried to use AI to influence the Leafs’ deadline approach when questioned by The Athletic. What he witnessed that day, however, was a front office that, to him, appeared disorganized and directionless.
It would soon cost Treliving his job.
