I thought it was crazy how adamant Louis was that it would be a 2 min minor.
If running the goalie and causing blood plus knocking him out of the game isn’t enough, not sure what is. And despite the rhetoric, MacKinnon is a wreckless player. He chased around Frances guys after taking a hit he didn’t like, and actually hurting himself in the process. He gave a pretty nasty hit which put the final nail in the coffin on Nolan Patrick’s career. Great player, but he has a history.

Yeah Lou seemed to actually be arguing why it shouldn't be a 5.. had his Mr. "National Broadcaster" hat on.. For comparison if a forward hits another forward directly in the head open ice even if its incidental there is a good chance he gets 5 and a game.. never mind a goaltender totally within his crease.. its probably a good precedent.. otherwise you could take free runs at goalies and just make sure you rub off a defender to say you were contacted and "directed" (accidently on purpose) into him.. they'd run out of goaltenders.. great for the 3rd stringers and EBUGS though :)
