Honestly, if they make the playoffs, I won’t feel any tension because I’ll expect them to get knocked out with that blue-line. They are the Buffalo Bills of the NHL.

It's a bit of an issue when we are calling the D out, when we've brought back the D coach who helped this team to the Stanley Cup in the last two years and we see no improvement.
However, if the D do OK it has to be the goalies fault. I don't think Ingram was the issue tonight, I've not gone back to watch the Ducks game to see if Jarry was really awful or was it yet again a case of us allowing teams to get too many good chances against us. The forwards have to defend as well and if they don't do the job the D have no chance. We call out the likes of Nurse, Walman and Bouchard for stupid mistakes, but just because he's the greatest player today (probably ever) McDavid shouldn't be adverse to being called out. At least 2 of the goals tonight came directly from him coughing up the puck on the blue line and them attacking.
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers
take me home, country road

To be fair to Coffey last time he coached he still had Klingburg and Kulak to work with.. and Walman got fat, and Nurse has regressed even further into the pit of washed up defencemen

Embarrassing loss
Nurse has to go.. he's AHL level, maybe even ECHL..
Put him on long term paternity leave (LTPL)
Defence is the team's boat anchor, only guys that can play defence at an acceptable NHL level are #2 (sometimes) and #14.. rest can and should be replaced.. I had hope for Walman last year but he's a fat train wreck this year.
With our cap and number of prospects and picks left.. we have nothing to deal or cap left .. to change the roster enough to improve the defence enough.

Nurse has been next level terrible in two of the last three. He was almost unwatchable today, forget unplayable. I wanted to spoon my eyes out while watching him handle the puck worse than a ten year old.

Nurse should be inviting his agent to Thanksgiving Dinner every year.. the amount, and especially the NMC is priceless.. he'd would've been double retained out somewhere 3 years ago.. and while he's at it.. invite Holland
