What a finish. Was wondering if Marner was gonnna show up. Boy did he. The leafs could use a player like that

Binnington shaky to start, but definitely saved butts by the end. Unbelievable allowing a breakaway with a couple minutes left in the third, thought it was all over, but Binnington saved them.


They have to play so much better than this to go all the way though. Hope some of the depth forwards got a little confidence off this one with those last 2 goals.

.. apparently they had Eight (8) players on the ice when the Czechs scored the 3-2 .. Canada was wondering how they got out manned that badly, so quickly..

The block that lead to the rush against was possible because the Czech's could stack an extra dude to take a rush at the shooter.



Yeah, pretty sure the Czech coach can give it a rest. He complained that Necas's stick was touched on a breakaway and should have been an automatic penalty shot. A stick touch? Not on hands, or a slash, just the act of touching the stick? That's never been the rule.

There were SIX Czech players against FIVE Canadian players just before the puck went the other way for the Czech's 3rd goal (3-2)

Amateur on ice officials.. FOUR of them on the ice and no one saw it or called it.. Czechs were playing with six players for quite a while.. its not like there was a guy that hopped off the bench a few seconds to early.. they had 6 players active in the play..

No wonder they got an an odd man rush .. the odd man was the SIXTH player!
