How is that a roughing penalty against Mangiapane? Honestly? He sprayed some snow and then got mauled by OEL.
NHL reffing is a goddamn disgrace.

Worth remembering for the 1,000,000th time..It doesn't matter what the players actually do the penalties will roughly even out. So you might as well have as many dirty players as possible in the playoffs.

A lot of fans complain about individual efforts but it is usually when the have the puck, or on a back check. You hear coaches talk about doing the little things right and how that is more often the difference between winning and losing.
This type of 1/10 effort change is one of those little things. I like a lot of Walman can bring but his "little thing" rating is often brutal.
The angle from the Oilers net was equal parts sad and hilarious. The effort from Walman was terrible. The reilization of how bad he had screwed up sinking in and him watching the play develop cracked me up. From 150 feet away you could see the "uh oh" in his body language.

Hahahaha... this Oilers team is such a silly joke.
There's our $9M+, makes more than Cale Makar, all-star Dman Nurse. Can't handle a pass.

Like what was Nurse doing????? Ingram passes the puck (wasn’t a great pass, but still) and Nurse just stands there like a cripple with brain damage
This is our defense here folks. The IQ of a tomato

I think he dodges Ingram’s pass there. He thinks he is Lemieux in Salt Lake City I guess and Kariya was behind him. Unfortunately goes directly to leaf and everything happens around pylon Nurse for a quick goal.

The Leafs have some of the absolute bottom of the basement metrics this season in the league, and the Oilers are struggling to hang with them.
Gross.

Let's hope they can get another and take this one.
Come on PK, let's kill this one off.
Special teams have been BAD lately, so they really need this kill.

I don’t have the same hate as this thread for Nurse this year. Not a 9M dman, but what a tired narrative. He’s been a solid defender for most of the year.
Tonight we are out working the Leafs all game.
(Ugh 2 man disadvantage)

Awesome play, Janmark. Way to go.
What does this guy do for the team anymore? 19th ranked PK, basically negative offensive capability, and he does this? Basically a full 2 minute 5 on 3 because he can't control his stick.
Wake the eff up, Janmark.

Dude. This team can work when they want to, but they shoot themselves in the foot ALL THE TIME. Nice gift 5 on 3 to let the Leafs salt this game away.

He just sits there and makes bone headed decisions way too often but fair enough
Another frustrating game. We are way better than Toronto. Bunch of garbage to be losing this game at home

Last I checked Nurse is putting up some of his worst defensive metrics since his early NHL years. Lost his spot on the first PK and actually has poor performance still against 2nd PP units. His ice time is down overall. Almost every D is worse with him than without. A situation that lead to Stecher being traded which looks like an unforced error now. This has been a pretty bad year for Nurse so far. IMO at least.
