Hopefully he doesn't get picked up.. I think there is still an NHL player there.. guy has been shelved on LTIR forever.. needs to skate
Not the worst forward currently in the line up.. take him over Mangiapane.
Some good points from Staples regarding Philp and the bottom 6 Oilers.. they are essentially useless.

Unless we're close to the 50-man limit, I'd claim him back and send him down. It's an extra asset and one we've put a lot of time in to developing. He wouldn't count against the cap at all. I don't really see any downside unless the team feels he'd be in the way of someone else's development.

That's the one thing I was worried about, the 50 man.. I think they are close to it.. like 48 .. ?
Just checked.. 46.. so they have some room, worth picking up for center depth..
