We’ve been in the other side of games like these. I’ll take it.
Jets are in a dark place right now, but looking like they’re about to bust out.

Great fight.
Refs just had to be lame and give Nuge extra penalty, even though Pionk hit him from behind with an arm up into the back of Nuge's head to make Nuge feel like he had to make Pionk answer. Like a player like Nuge is getting that mad for no reason.
Nice to see Pickard in peak Pickard form. Kind of a goalie steal.
Roslovic gets the GWG against his former team. Nice to be on the winning end of the ex-player stuff.

Don't look now, but with Vegas and especially Anaheim floundering recently we now hold the #1 spot in the Pacific. Played more games than those two, but nice to be on top even if it is only temporary.
Fantastic game by Pickard. No way we were winning that without his heroics. Nice to see the bottom six show up for once. Wonder if there's something in the works with Mangiapane...late healthy scratch last night.

Insiders saying he’s willing to waive his NM to explore options and his agent has been given an opportunity to seek out a trade. Hopefully they can find a new home for him. He looks like a guy who expects offense to find him rather than generating chances through hard work. Not the player I remember.

He was brilliant didn’t it last night. We have had good goaltending the last handful of games. It is really nice to see.
We are currently first place, and we just keep cruising. This has been a fun season. Colorado still scares me, but let’s see what happens the rest of the way. It’s still very early.

Bag o pucks would be enough as long as he takes his full cap with him..
My sentiments as well regarding Mangi.. plays die on his stick.. expected it the other way around.. remember him being the tenascious sort.. he looks like a passenger out there now.. and his quickness has evaporated.. Savoie is better.. and Hutson or Howard couldn't be much worse..

Just a visual assesment from a few games.. but I don't think Skinner wins these last few games that Ingram and Pickard have played.. Pickard especially.. some amazing saves. last night.
I liked Stu but he has too much of a stationary style.. instead of "making" saves.. reacting to the puck.. his style was to force the player to shoot at empty spots in the net.. play the probabilities.. and his movement in the net was too deliberate .. as well as out of the net.. I don't seem to cringe now whenever Pickard, Ingram, or Jarry go to play the puck..
Early days.. but having Pickard and Ingram playing above average goalie a) gives Oil better chance at winning.. b) gives Jarry time to fully rehab whatever is ailing him, b) adds depth for injury.. c) increases competetion in goal.. (d) both ingram and Pickard are low cap hits.. opens more cap for skater additions
