When you know your team isn't good enough and management is clearly not interested in making the hard fix, where do you go from there? There is almost no excitement in how this team plays this season. Team looks like they're just walking a long plank this season so far.

To bridge off this I was excited to see the Oilers this season, McDavid's goodwill to the team and by extension the city. the play of new players in Howard and Savoie... and it all just fizzled away by nonchalant play uninsipired effort.
It affected my watching habits, and I think I'm being less of a fan of hockey as a result. That's kinda of alarming to admit that.

I have definitely been watching less this year. I only have so much time, so why put myself through it? If the players don't care, then it is hard for me to.

Same here. I maybe actually sat down to watch 1 or 2 full games this season. I guess we're all just waiting for playoffs at this point. Maybe the players are viewing the regular season the same way and the motivation just isn't near 100% after 2 finals losses. That's obviously not great, and maybe it takes a big drop in the standings for them to snap out of it, which is REALLY not great.
