5 Cups

This is a 5 player team.. they have to produce or nothing happens.

McDavid
Draisatl
RNH
Hyman
Roszlovik

With a distant glimmer of hope in Savoie

Entire defense looks sick
All standing still looking for stretch passes to forwards.. which clicks maybe 15% of the time.. and end up giving away possession way too easy.. . no puck transporters among them.. I thought Walman might have promise as a transporter.. but his skating looks really bad now.. the Oiler D-zone is a constant gong show this season.. the whole team is too slow to pucks and when they do they lose the puck battle too often.

Skinner actually didn't play too bad today.

Almost a positive comment. Skinner for as crappy as he is deserves full props. He was a star tonight. For whatever reason this team can’t figure out crap until December and maybe this year is the year the wheels completely fall off but until I see different I’m a believer.

Great win against a really good team. Time to build on this.

If they figure out what disease has infected the defence (mad cow?).. I think this team could be a top contender..

Hoping Ekholm can find his game. We know we have in Nurse and you get what you get. I got more time for Regula. Bouchard still heavily outweighs his deficiencies. Kulak is solid. Walman has won more games with his play than we have lost. His upside is elite and downside is bottom pairing. Emberson has been ‘meh’.

McDrai looking great lately. Just wish more of the other players would join in

Guessing management is getting the itch about signing Roslovic long term. He’s been great. Just gotta hope he isn’t only doing it for the payday if we do jump in with a long term deal in Jan 2026

Can we just give him Frederic's contract? another 0-0-0 stat line for Frederic. I think that's two games in a row now he hasn't even had a shot on net.

Is there a stat for 'taking' hits?

How far can the ankle excuse take him? I see almost no skill when he has the puck. See no will to mix things up and be a poop disturber to get involved in the games to make up for his lack of contributions. He did take a fight and got totally wasted so maybe that was his attempt to make himself seen after a month of invisibility. Need to see way more than that.

I think we fell in love with him having a lucky ~1.5 year run in Boston. The league is loaded with guys that get lucky for a year or so and get a 30-40 point season that ends up being the peak of their whole career. Not many of those guys turn that luck into an 8 year retirement contract. Good job by his agent.
