Team still playing like hockey doesn’t matter until the last half of the season at the earliest. Management the same. Media saying if goaltending still bad by mid-season then we will try to find someone.
If bad skinner is finally showing up, hope we have some nice win streaks planned for 2026.

This team is terrible. I doubt the Oilers had one high danger chance... and the Avs had to have had 8. Makar owns this team.
I'm at this game and this iteration of the Oilers is actually trying... they just suckkkk. They are bleeding ridiculously good chances against.
McDavid's so going to blow this popsicle stand.

This isn't prime Oilers for sure, this isn't the Oilers that have reached the finals the last 2 years. Don't thought for one minute bash to much, the Avs have come to play tonight, and some times we can give credit. The score is what it is, not because we've been off the mark, but as much as they've been very good.
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers
take me home, country road

What can you say. Just horrendous
I'm riding a high because of Saskatchewan. Roughriders won tonight and are going to the Grey Cup, but this oilers team. Just pathetic. Wow

Getting embarrassed tonight.
Is this the game that finally wakes these guys up, players and coaches all included? Awful, awful hockey.

started to fast forward after 2-0 .. got to 4-0 and deleted it.. this defence and goalie combo has got to be near the bottom of the league.. getting tired of watching a hapless Bouch and Nurse wandering around looking lost in their own end.... even Walman and Ekholm are getting infected.. was Coffey that good of a coach?

Losing Coffey & Gulutzan really affected us this much or what?
This is some of the worst Oilers hockey I’ve seen since we traded Smyth.
SIX, two goal leading games lost and now a massive blow out tonight, I expect 10-1 the way it’s going.
Hyman returning will be welcomed but it’s not gonna fix this brutal team.
Who gets moved/fired?
Put Howard and Tomasek in the AHL go get top minutes maybe Savoie too.
Bench both Nurse & Bouchard a game or 2
Call up Ingram, sit Skinner or even demote him to get him some confidence if you still can at this point.

Corey Perry has played 9 games for LA.. he has SIX (6) freaking goals and 3 assists for 9 pts.. playing with LA.. yeah .. LA..
Oilers miss that guy, leadership and goal scoring is elite.. the guy knows how to play hockey.. instead we went with Trent the Ghost Frederik.
Perry would have taken less to stay in Oiltown.
Predicting when the Oil play LA first game Perry gets a hatrick and has a fight.. probably Freddy.. and beats down

I currently have Perry in my keeper pool, so love seeing the production but let's not kid ourselves. That isn't a sustainable pace. Holland put stupid money in front of him, so there was no matching and keeping him here. Let them have this one, while the ride lasts.
Frederic - I tend to agree on. Typical of the Oilers to double down on their mistakes rather than admit an error. He was useless last year and while injuries could have been the reason, the Oilers owed it to themselves to see if he was going to recover form before making an 8-year bet on the player. It was undoubtedly an unforced error.
