That's some impressive self sabotage tonight.
Spot the Islanders 2 free goals. Take dumb penalty after dumb penalty in the third until the Islanders get the go ahead goal. Then enjoy passing up golden shooting opportunities for dumb passes to make sure you can't even it up. Well done boys.

My God - Nurse has to be one of the dumbest players in the league. So many absolutely idiotic moves. A lot of them are when he is pressured, which can happen to the best of them. But there was a play at the end there where we had them hemmed in and he had tons of time and looked around and sent it to…nobody. So frustrating. He has all the tools, just no toolbox

Yeah that's always been his problem.. no central processor
His patented buttered muffin shot into the goaltender's logo is an off-shoot to what you just described above.. Oilers will have possession in the O-end.. cycling the puck.. and Nurse under no pressure.. with no Oilers close to the front of the net.. will just sift a muffin in to the goalie to get a whistle and force a face off.
But as bad as Nurse is .. tonight bonehead player of the game belonged to Bouchard.. Nurse must have felt relieved that someone else on defense was playing as bad or worse than he was.. he owes Bouchard a pint.

I was going to post something similar in the first period lol..just a complete hockey moron. Crazy how you can play hockey your whole life and still be that clueless. And even crazier that Kenny Holland figured that's a franchise tier d man.
I'm a huge fan of bouchard but he was awful tonight holy smokes. Luckily it's game 4 of the regular season so as usual who cares. We all know he'll bring it when it matters.

What an awful game from so many players. Bouchard was terrible, none of the D were much better. I cant think of a single forward who can claim they had a good game.
Skinner was probably the best Oiler tonight but only because he didn't let in any easy ones. That should be enough for a W most nights.
Bad games happen. Need to shake this off and come out on fire next game to put this in the past quick.
