Wonder what promises have been made. If he really can crack the top 6, kid is gonna make some nice bonus money, and we replace production lost moving on from Kane/Arvidsson/Skinner.
Kind of gambles that we have to make with barely any cap space.
Kids shot looks good in highlights. Likes to do the little pull into the body before taking wrist shots to change the angle like Matthews.

Know nothing about Howard.. but think he's a year at least ahead of O'Reilly .. O'Reilly was trending very well.. but wouldn't be roster ready until next year.. he was going back to London this coming season .. so the one positive is Howard will be closer to play with the Oilers this season.. at the very least they are swapping prospect time lines.. longer for closer.
Howard is 21 .. O'Reilly is 19 .. Howard playing vs. older, bigger rosters.. could be a good swing for the fence by Bowman.
I kinda liked the idea of having an O'Reilly on the team.. :)
He'll probably be the top London Knight next season .. and fun to watch .. sigh
There is a chance O'Reilly drops off after losing some of the top talent London had last year .. might be a case of Oilers selling high (finally).. we'll see!
Wish it was for draft picks though ..
Howard signed a 3 year ELC.. so they got him for cheap for 3 years..
You know I had a feeling there was something in the works.. usually the Oilers pump up the prospects a ton during the rookie camp.. noticed they were pretty skimpy this year.. maybe because a few were considered possible trade assets for impending talks with teams..
Gues my new London Knight hero will have to be Nichol!

I like it. Another skilled forward to try and fit in the top 6 without losing a roster player or taking on a gamble of a contract.
My only concern is Howard is 5’11 and Savoie 5’9. Are they strong enough to play against top lines or big teams? Be nice to steal a couple top young players to ease the pain of losing Broberg and Holloway.

.. also Mangiapane.. 5'-10" .. and Hutson at 5'-11" .. not gonna be towers of power on the wings!
Just have to out score and out skate!

Howard highlights from this season 24-25..

from his 23-24 season..

From the video the kid has a shot..
Oilers now have Savoie, Mangiapane, Howard, and Hutson as smaller wingers.. not a bad ploy by Bowman.. go get 4 dice and hope at least one or two roll 6's
