Yep
Oilers are weaker already in one trade. Fred is going to eat most of his cap.. and not fill anything Kane does as a player..
Oilers are already in the market for a Kane type player..
Fred will be bought out in 3 years
So starts the Bowman Darkness.

Recency bias at its finest. Frederic at that price will not hurt the club. It’s up to the player to prove he can exceed the deal, and he will likely return to the .5 ppg physical 5v5 player before his injury. What we saw was a shell of the player we expected.
Hyman deal had the same sentiment. Heck, I think the Kane extension was also received poorly. Let’s let this one play out. Frederic is was a good physical player until he got hurt and the injury won’t linger for his career. Zero reason to believe he won’t return to 15-20 goals and 40 points with no PP time.
