Almost hoping for another Florida goal to force him to put Pickard in. And then an epic comeback.

Man this sucks.

Stu forgot what got him back into these playoffs. He stayed in net, stayed up, played the angles and really worked on his lateral movement.

Back to the old Stu right now. This whole game has been wildly disappointing.

Most of the Oilers are playing like they are scared little kitties against the Panthers.

This team is good enough... but they don't think they're good enough against the Cats. It's like Vancouver last year; easily good enough to beat that team if they just played solid, relatively mistake-free hockey. The Canucks almost looked unbeatable, and the Oilers just barely scratched by.

The team is back to looking overwhelmed against a team they can absolutely play against. How much of this is Maurice and his adjustments vs Knoblauch and his?

Leave Skinner in and let the Panthers torch him for four more. He needs a massive wake up call that whatever is going on mentally with him being wildly inconsistent is letting the whole team down.

Leave Pickard fresh for next game.

Alright... I'm done watching this tire fire of an effort. Panthers are rolling and the end of this one is inevitable; very well could be a blow out. I'll see you guys for Game 4.

Just please do not tell me that the actual Cup final was Florida vs Toronto... because right now, it's looking like it might have been.

Paying 9.25M for a complete airhead and always needs a babysitter to even have a chance to stay even in games.

Once McDavid is signed long term (this better happen!!) we need to be calling Holland about Nurse.

1 - I don’t think the Hyman injury can be overstated
2 - ditto for Pickard. Sure Skinner had some good games, but the team plays different in front of him. And he has not been very good these last 3 games. I really hope the start Pickard in the 3rd.

I full on run Bobo to take him out of the series. They did it to the Leafs and tried it on us, so it’s all fair and part of the game based on the precedent the league has established.

if I was Frederick I would.. they wouldn't miss him in the line up and it would be a good move with a new contract coming up.. take the suspension.

Frederic has been a total wuss this entire playoffs. If we were hoping for him to be saving his energy to stand out in the finals, think we know it's not coming. What a waste of a 2nd round pick.

I don't remember much of anything from him yet. So if he's looking for a new deal he needs to do something memorable, and hopefully impactful on the series.

Looks like he can barely move out there. 7:13 of ice time and looks like he's skating in mud the entire time. Guess he tried to take on Bennett near the end of the game, but did no real damage.

Looked back at his career stats. His best season he was only playing 13 mins of ice time. Seems he had a bit of a lucky year that gave him some hype that Bowman grabbed onto.

Looked back at his career stats. His best season he was only playing 13 mins of ice time. Seems he had a bit of a lucky year that gave him some hype that Bowman grabbed onto.

Rumour has it that the Oilers ARE intending to sign him back and that it'll be done quickly after the series wraps up.

I do wonder if the Oilers made any real attempt to get Marchand from the Bruins. Would have been a better use of draft picks...and he's an old guy which the team loves.

I do think from a roster construction point of view, the Panthers have built a deep team. Scoring threats on almost every line. With Hyman out and Nuge nursing something, we really need our depth to step up. Pretty much everything in the first three games has been manufactured by McDavid, Draisaitl or Bouchard. We can't be a black hole when they're not on the ice.

That's why I would just run Bobrovski if I were him.. he needs a reason to get re-signed.

Our star player did have some time just before the deadline where he could have been wooing Marchand...

Sometimes you can't just accept what people want and have to try to convince them of what's truly best for them...I do feel like that's something the Oilers have never understood.
