Stuart Skinner - greatest game 4 goalie of all time!
Hope Hyman is ok. Brown too.

Agreed. More concerned about Hyman right now. He’s gotta be hurt to shut it down for the night. Not to disrespect a concussion but you’re either better right away or you’re long term. Most times it’s the prior.

Skinner game 4 mastery continues.
That was another really tough win. Dallas burned a lot of energy to try to get us in the first and skinner and the gang survived. Got better as the game went on and Dallas ran out of gas.
Finish these guys off in Dallas!
Please come back Hyman

Stressful beyond the extreme, but at the same time I really enjoyed the game.
I said I felt that Skinner should come in as I felt he'd make a difference, What the frig do I know!!! Arvidsson was on a mission to impress and earn a place back in the starting 12.
Somewhere, Ben and Joey are celebrating Ben's birthday dancing away to La Bamba.

HELL YEAH!!!
Stu guts out another big win and huge performance for the team. Way to go, Stu!!!
Hopefully Hyman isn't too bad... guessing either a dislocated shoulder or a collarbone issue. Someone needs to run over Marchment in the next game.

Really played a solid game after weathering the first period storm.
Finish them off, then heal up
97.

What a night.
Our PP is taking a nick if Hyman and Brown are gone for any amount of time.
Skinner looks confident. Gobbling up rebounds. Had a lot of screen shots to deal with early in the game.
Arvidsson looks inspired.
End this THURSDAY.

The patience of RNH on that Perry goal was amazing. Important goal.
He’s absolutely crushing the Stars.

This is probably the best I can remember seeing RNH play in his career. He's had hot streaks but never like this in the playoffs. Hopefully he keeps it going and they can get Brown and Hyman back for the final.
29 and 97 alone at the top of the scoring race again.

Agree RNH is playing playoff hockey.. digging in.. getting his beak dirty.. same with Bouchard.
Love the effort Arvi put in.. but his weakness is getting to pucks especially D-zone.. slow and short reach.. if Brown is ready Arvi is back sitting I'm afraid.
You saw why Kapanen is playing instead of J. Skinner and Arvi.. speed and quickness.. and adds a consistent physical dimension.. that EN goal was all speed.
Going to miss Zack The Hitman Hyman if he's out any length of time at all ends of the rink... he's been a force.

...back from win. Great game... SKINS was calm in net... making tough shots look easy. After the first period the team just locked in. When this team cuts the turnovers and comes back deep on the backcheck, they look unbeatable.
...the OIL D are absolutely 'shut down'. And they don't waste time getting the puck up the ice.
...this time 'it might be for real'.
...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

despite the win.. Oilers overcame some sketchy reffing .. no call on Granlund levelling Perry from behind in the 1st, knocking the wind out of him.. that call is usually made 100% of the time, for much less interference.. not sure how that's not called.. then they call Perry for a less impactful pick the next period.. and they score on the PP.
Then Klingberg gets called for reaching in.. they kill the penalty.. soon after an Oiler gets an identical reach in on him.. no call. I'm going to attribute the bad calls to Rooney, he's awful.
Maybe all DeBoer's whining is having an effect.
Putting McDavid in the PK in Brown's absence has been a good move.. the opposition PP point men are scared to go in too deep..

Fantastic win! Once again proving that we can absolutely grind teams down defensively. What did Dallas have, 4 shots all 3rd period?
Fingers crossed that our injured guys can get back in at some point. If Ekholm is good to go in game 5 when I guess we run 11-7?

Dangit. Headed for surgery today. Broken wrist? Something with his shoulder?
Huge loss. Could use his physicality vs the Florida bullies. Oh well, time for everyone else to step up.

I knew as soon as it happened. Told my wife there’s no chance we see him again in the playoffs. That really sucks.
Well - I think this opens the door for Jeff Skinner. Up 3-1, I don’t think there’s a better time. And you have to think he will be about as motivated as any NHLer has ever been.

The bright side of this is that they essentially have a plug and play replacement for 18 on the top like and pp in Perry. Just hope he can stay healthy and keep it going for a few more weeks at 40.
Really sucks to lose Hyman but if they can finish off Dallas tomorrow and get brown and ekholm back in time for the scf and you have Arvidson and/or Skinner as replacements I think they can live with that. Not ideal though. Florida is just exactly the team that they are going to need players like hyman Kane Frederik etc.
Or maybe 29 and 97 just will a championship into existence and this is a unifying moment for the team to be even more motivated.

Yep big time. And the brown hit was straight to the head.
But did you know that kulak shot the puck over the glass and didn't get a penalty?

I guess we see J. Skinner if Brown can't go.. I think he's like Arvi.. too slow and an own zone liability.. but here we are.
I think Hyman either broke a thumb or wrist in that exchange.. sucks .. the dude was on fire!!
As you said .. we'll likely just see more of McDavid and Leon.. not a bad replacement!

So who replaces Hyman on the top line? I think the top 3 options would be Skinner, Perry and Kane. Up 3-1 you could throw Skinner into fire and see if he produces with McD and RNH. Perry has played up there for short periods of time but might be a big ask if he’s spotting Hyman on PP1
If we end up facing FLA you might want a physical presence like Kane to replace Hyman as F1 on the forecheck, especially if he can replicate his ‘22 playoff form with McDavid. Or they just may rotate and see who has the most chemistry with that line

So I’m still seeing a steady flow of articles from different outlets about the Nurse slash on Hintz. Oh - and the puck over the glass….not to mention both Benn and Marchment said they would be looking for blood going into game 3.
Barely a mention of Petrovic clearly headhunting and Bishel’s dirty hits on Nuge and Frederick.
Make it make sense.

You missed the hit into the back of Perry last game by Granlund.. almost cratered him, shudda been a call.. that was worse than a pick (which they called all game) .. that was a hit and run.
