...and I'm still gonna end up watching the game late into the night as my own sports schedule doesn't end until 11pm tonight. Gotta love the PVR!

For once I'm slightly upset at this start time. Got a Europa League Cup final to watch from 8pm our time, it may not finish till 10.30 or even later. I've no time to get to bed for any sleep before the game.....Tonight I'd be very happy with a 3am start for me.
A split on the road would be a good thing for us, would love us to do what we did against Vegas and win every road game, but just can't see it. Got a sneaking feeling we'll see Ekholm, all the talk of game 3 seems like a smoke screen.
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers

Given the nature of Ekholm's injury (probably a groin... given the early attempts at playing) I wouldn't be at all shocked if they did hold him back for Game 3, just to be sure that he's as close to 100% as he's going to get without an off-season to heal. That said, they might also do what the Stars did the last round and ease him in by going 11-7.
If they go 11-7, who comes out? Using the last in, first out idea, it would be Kapanen, but do you really sit the guy who just scored the OT series winning goal in his last game? I don't think I would. I could see Frederic drawing the short straw in that scenario.

Probably would do Frederic too. Probably our least impactful forward last series. As much as it's fun to see some hits, far more important to get Ekholm going. Frederic may have some of his own healing to do still as well.

Just. Must. Win.
The team knows Dallas wants revenge for last year. Dallas will try to harness the Must from the Stars but the mighty Oil will drill for their Must.

We always seem to start slow after an extended break. Just hope we don't dig ourselves too deep of a hole before we find our game again.

Ugh, Connor Brown is a game time decision. Not ideal.

expecting the slow start, hopefully the push at the end brings a win.
Keep rolling all 18 skaters, and tire them out as Dallas likes to push the top guys.
