Lol and now Cassidy STILL crying about the non arvidson call icon_lol

Seriously? LOL .. the loser's season ending lament.

Update.. I listened to his presser.. to be fair he just mentioned it .. didn't really whine very much .. but its definitely still in his head.. and wants to share.. :)

Yeah - I don't have any issue with anything he said. He was pretty respectful throughout. Said that they really needed a split, and that there was a missed call but that's how it goes and they still needed to find a way to win and didn't.

Now, on to cheering for the Jets to make a series of their tilt with the Stars and for very hard battles for each remaining game.

What's nice is, after their first 2 crap games vs LA. They have won 8 out 9 (and scored the winner accidentally for their opponent with 0.4 seconds left in regulation.)

If they can win 8 out of the next 9. I"ll be a happy camper.

Oh, also, LA was the #2 best team in the NHL on defense, Vegas #3.

Hope the media keep picking the other team to win.

So this is what hope feels like?

What a tense tense TENSE game. Kapanen from the bench to replace Arvidsson to score that goal.. Heck of a coaching move. Heck of a tenacious move by the player!

Gotta say, overall here this team proves my chicken little syndrome wrong every time. I'm getting the the dopamine effect each time I'm wrong and I love it.

McD has every right to be salty, I hope the team keeps showing the world what the Oilers can do. In saying that, the team hasn't won anything substantial yet.

They have shown they can play any style, but it's the depth scoring that this team sorely needed. 4 very very good and capable lines.

Vegas had the Oilers on the ropes a few times that game, as did the Oilers. I felt Vegas was more dangerous in the zone than the Oilers in Vegas's. That said, they weathered the storm and got the win.

My ole heart can't take much of this, but I love it.

If I could pour some cold water on all of this.. the special teams need to get better. The PK has been okay but the power play is suffering. Not sure how to adapt that when it's a tight checking game.

The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Generally Disappointed.

I didn't have b2b shutouts on my bingo card, but seeing the team handle its business in this manner gave me a bit more confidence for whomever is next. I was watching the stream on my phone, and it told me it was 1-0 before the puck went in on the video feed.

Hopefully the Jets win tonight, extend that series, and the Oilers can use the break to heal up a bit and practice PP/PK.

97.
