Hertl wasn’t even pushed. Dude just skates behind Pickard and awkwardly falls on him. All inside the crease with the ref looking at it plus seeing Pickard labouring after. Such garbage
This is a career defining moment for Skinner. Everyone will remember what happens in this series.
At the least Pickard is day to day, so it's not like he got his leg destroyed like Roli did. We should still have our goalie options open soon.

Oliver is the backup tonight.
One HAS to think Skinner plays incredibly inspired tonight. Anything close to subpar or average and Picks gets the net back Monday for game 4. Skinner wants to be a starter, he needs to grab this opportunity.

He has a pattern of bad-meh-good-good-good-good-bad-bad- Pickard.

...we know the OIL can play defense. The only thing is that the evidence: 6 straight games being forced to come back from deficits! kinda implies that they can NOT play defense.
But it's not impossible... maybe if they focus on quick exits, no blind pack passes. no ill advised pinches, crushing forecheck, score a PP or two and clear the traffic in front of SKINS, they can win a game with SKINS in net.
