I can only assume this is like when Chiarelli was getting interviewed after his time with the Oilers... the other teams want to know what NOT to do. I can't imagine they would seriously hire him after the job he did in Edmonton. Sure they made it to a Conference Final, but the list of good moves that he made would leave you with 1, 2, at least 3 fingers to spare if you were counting on your good hand.

Incredibly, it's rumoured not only that Holland is the favourite to land this job but that Chiarelli is also on the list of candidates. I, for one, am hoping for them to hire both!

I only wish the Islanders were a Pacific division team.

Well, you might get your wish... apparently Holland is also in the running for the King's job. donkey

Ha ha ha...Robitaille believing that it was Holland's brilliant management that led the Oilers to three straight victories over them.

Saw this Robitaille quote:

The Mayor | Team MM @mayorNHL
Robitaille said he's going to borrow something he learned from Lombardi --

When it's around 7/1 and you're thinking 'What one or two moves can you make to help you win the Cup?' ... When you're at that point, that means you're close.

That's how he views the Kings right now.

He figures the Kings are just 1 or 2 moves from being true contenders. Yet they just got beat again having to ride Kopitar and Doughty into the ground playing all the hardest situations to shelter the rest of the group.

Sounds like a perfect situation for Holland to drop into to start selling the future a bit to try to get those 1/2 pieces, and get some stinky drafting going too :)

Hope Holland gets the LA job. Dobson getting 8x10M would be bothersome.

Are we sure he didn't say "when you're around 71...?"

The league is so desperate to reuse the same guys over and over that our McMiracle finals run probably erases everything else Holland did and makes him a front-runner. Chia left on a completely embarrassing note and still landed a nice job.

Bouchard's camp is praying for Holland to get this job. Could they ask for a better guy to have to quickly ink Dobson's extension before Bouch gets to his negotiation?
