yes, +1 better than -1. ...need more from Bouch in his own zone. He's impersonating a pylon back there.

Am I the only one that feels DeBrusk is not a Pickard fan? Doesn’t say too many good things about him. Saying on that deflection he should have been covering the bottom of the net. Huh? I mean yeah, but the puck was perfectly tipped down from right around the crossbar.

Yeah, that's a weird take. Deflections on head high shots that end up going perfect 5-hole would be a pretty unusual save. Zero chance any goalie in our org is stopping that, or the first one.

Need something out of McDrai tonight. Aside from never covering anyone in their own zone. Maybe getting to time to split them up if this is how they will play together

Intermission guys gave a highlight pack of their defensive plays but saw lots of weak stuff too. They are 13% and 15% xGF tonight. Worst on the team by a good margin. 6 and 7 high danger chances against. 0 for. Can make it up in the third!

He's been missing a gear all play-off's for me, but still producing points. That second goal at the end was a bit of a dagger, but the save by Pick's right at the end may not be his best of the night, but could turn out to be the most important.

This game would be 4-0 with Skinner right now.
The bench deflation after each goal would have pop gunned the Oiler offence.

That breakaway save was great, then Podz goal right after.

In general, it’s heartening to see scoring coming from guys other than McDrai in this series so far. It forces the Golden Shower Knights to spread their defensive attention which should in turn open up space for Connor and Leon.

Would be nice to see the refs call the maulings once in a while.
Oilers have not had the PP advantage in a single game these playoffs.
And we all know how amazingly clean the Knights are.

PK got nothing on last years. Letting passes across way too easy. If teams were letting us do that so easily Drai would have a goal every PP.

2 PP goals against almost the exact same way and we look oblivious.
Funny seeing the Bieska point out that Eichel is twitching his head looking right at Olofsson to tell him to sneak in for the pass and we still didn't clue in.

The Oilers have been playing pretty sloppy hockey in this one.
Pickard's been playing out of his mind... Drai looks like he's dead though, and McDavid is having a rough third. That penalty was a killer.
He needs to play like a god to try to ice this one.

The VGK have been playing their best lines against McDrai all night, as they have figured that forcing them to defend is the best way to neutralize their offence. So far it’s been working, which is why the scoring from other lines has been so crucial. I expect that McDrai will be more effective at home when the Oil get last change.
