I'm not a Stuart Skinner fan. I think he's a pretty good backup, or even the 1b of a tandem, but he's just not good enough to carry a team with questionable defense.
Korpisalo looks like he's available. He has 3 more years at 4m per. It's almost a wash, moneywise. Makes perfect sense to me to swap. I would have made the trade with them at the deadline, but I do hope to see this happen in the off-season. Given how he's played, I'd send Skinner away the day after the playoffs end, no matter when that is. A cup win as Pickard's backup gets him to August...but he's gotta go.
5 Cups and counting.

Yep. I liked Stu a lot, prior to this season... however something's gone sideways. He's had a pretty bad season for a starter, and the team has no confidence in front of him anymore. His body language after giving up goals is atrocious as well. Pickard gets up, shakes it off immediately and gets ready for the puck to drop again. Skinner often acts shocked that the puck beat him, has this "how did the puck get by me?" exasperated sort of act, stands up with his shoulders slumped, and stares off into the ether as if he wants to he anywhere else. Skinner exudes no confidence in his game right now, and the team feeds off of it.

No Thanks! I would go after UPL in Buffalo and Tarasov as the backup out of Columbus. I would change up both goaltender spots.
UPL is very underated and plays for a terrible team that can't figure out how to play team defense.
Tarasov has all the tools, just needs to put it all together and build some confidence.
