One of 2 guys on this team that just played their game and had fun this year. Drai being the other.

Pressure to repeat what Florida did the last 2 years seems to have crushed the souls of most of the other guys.

That would be fantastic. Would you do that if you were Perry?
I mean he's made a lot of money and there are other factors but the guy just scored 20 goals playing 12 minutes a night. And he fights and he draws penalties and he provides leadership and experience that basically no one else in the league has.

Im not saying back up the brinks truck but I'd be breaking my arms to sign him for the same money he got this year if he would do it.

He's worth more to a team than league min.. both in points and team character and leadership.. but just hope he's willing to take something close to this year.. guy is a beaut!

I completely agree, but every penny matters. He's not hanging around for a paycheque. He wants to win another cup. And every year, he's just a little more likely to slow down or get injured. Expect this to be as high as he gets with the Oil.
If he wants to win, we need him, and everyone on the 4th line, to be as cheap as possible. Of course, if we were to somehow win this, he likely retires anyway.

On top of that, if he doesn't retire who says he signs here again? He has clearly shown the last few years that he has no issue with jumping from team to team.
