Hopefully that filled the Kings with false confidence which we can exploit next week. Two pretty awful games against these guys down the stretch with the Oilers rarely even bothering to test the goalies for the Kings.

Not too worried about that result. We were missing 9 regulars, including 4 of our D.

One thing that does concern me is that they'll probably suspend Nurse, resulting in him missing a game or two of round one. Can't afford that since we're already missing Ekholm.

Curious to see how Kane will look after being out all year. He says he feels better than he did last playoffs, but it's one thing to say it and another to actually get in game shape.

Game was a waster.. F L.A.

Oilers have less yips on the road.. will be a good start to the playoffs.

Oilers can win the Pacific next year.

Kind of crazy the Oilers haven't won the division in 37 years.

The Lakers have a home game Saturday night. We might see Sunday / Tuesday in LA. Thursday / Saturday(!!) at home.

It's actually inexcusable that this team hasn't won the Div with McDavid and Drai. They were a tire fire in this one, and they'll get run over by LA if they play like this.

If Nurse ends up getting suspended for a few games, and it stretches into the playoffs, that would be such a Darnell thing. He's so athletic, but has the brain of a 12 year old.

Unsupported. Tough first game in the NHL.

Perry's post-game interview was awesome, in response to Danault saying the Oilers only put up a B squad and were trying to hurt them .... "what the f%$*, what ado you want us to do? Did he not look at what's happened over the past few weeks".

Time to put the Kings to bed again.

Oilers really hate playing on Prime. Four games all losses and three by shutout. In the only game where they actually scored, they blew a two goal lead against Florida.

Someone who only watches games on Prime (don't know if this hypothetical individual exists) must think the Oilers are the worst offensive team in the league.

Nurse has a hearing for his cross check on Byfield while Byfield was down. Will DoPS pass up a chance to get some playoff games included?

Of course they won't. Same reason why they randomly suspended him during the playoffs.

Meanwhile punching a player in the face after a fight while the ref holds him down and breaking his orbital bone gets nothing.

I honestly thought when this was brought up in the GDT that we were joking about a suspension but I should have known better.

Hilarious to watch the replay when Byfield goes to the bench. Nothing to see here, just getting ready to sit down and get ready for the next shift - but then you can see the trainer or coach or someone yells something to him and he looks up and realises what he needs to do and does a 180 and heads to the dressing room.

LOL.. I didn't watch the game after the 1st period.. not surprised.. its all scripted.. just like the refs consistently providing the Kings with the record home ice "advantage" all season.. doesn't happen by accident.. NHL Corp. is crooked.

Yeah gotta give credit. Byfield milking that event was some top tier gamesmanship. If he just stuck around might not have been a hearing.

Rarely ever see the Oilers even consider to do stuff like that. Still patiently waiting for 10 years of good behavior to come back our way.

Gregor said on the radio that he saw Byfield after the game laughing with teammates and heard him say he wasn't hurt.

So, 3 games probably :)

Toss in the line "Byfield was injured on the play and is questionable for his next game" in the DoPS video.

One game for Nurse. Regular season against Sharks. Treat it as a rest up and let’s get ready to rock and roll in the playoffs baby.

.. It'd be interesting to see the NHL betting revenue statistics.. if Bet-Man and the NHL get revenue from the betting companies that has any relationship with the number of bets made.. then their betting revenue would rise when large population franchise markets do well in the regular season.. and even more if they go far into the playoffs.. so the large US city markets are even more important to the NHL revenue now .. its not just game broadcast revenue ..
