Rough night for Walman. Keep trying to block out that the Blues got an actual top pair D for a 2nd and prospect in Fowler. Oh well

Yeah but at least they didn't "get cute with it"! They just offered up that first and the sharks took it - what a shrewd move!
Also the blues got a 23 year old top 4 (minimum) for a 2nd. The oilers got flexibility to sign john klingberg and give up a 1st for Wallman.
Starting to think daryl Katz's oilers didn't and don't deserve the good fortune of 29 and 97. Look at what they've built around those 2..lol it's pretty amazing really. Nice 50/50 documentaries though.

Overall, I have liked Walman and I’ve never been a Fowler fan. Are we just piling on because we are completely decimated by injuries right now and need to project on to someone?
Plus Fowler came a bigger cap hit and is older. I couldn’t imagine the outrage if we made that deal.

Really impressive game from the Oilers. Didn’t really give an inch and shut things down really well. Just need the big boys for some offence.

Obvious to me why the Kings have such a great home win record.. that officiating was total Home-Town .. ref compensation currently undocumented.. that call on Bouchard against Foogle was a total fraud by the ref.. should get fired for that one.. Bouchard turns away from Foegle on the shoot in.. Foegle grabs Bouchard's arm and drags him down from behind.. and Bouchard gets the penalty.. Its almost like the Refs must be required to fulfill an LA home game power play quota ...

The LA players were having a good laugh on the bench after they ended up with a PP on that play.

Is it time to start asking why these players are being allowed to play when they obviously aren't ready? That's Elkholm, Draisaitl and now it looks like Frederik that have come back too early.
You could argue Skinner too if you counted the concussion spotter game.

I don’t think you can argue the Skinner return.return. The knee to the head probably messed up his neck more than a concussion. Draisaitl return looked good until what, 2 separate mishaps that may be completely unrelated. The stepping in the puck looked to be the worst. My groin cried for him. Frederic looks like he’s battling an ankle sprain and that’s just pain tolerance now.
Ekholm? I dunno. McDavid too. No idea.
Maybe I’m just being an apologist?
