96 shots of the iron so far this season for the Oilers after that Bouchard one late on. A nothing sort of a period though.

I saw most of the 1st. Not a great period, but Draisaitl looks angry.

LOL... this team can barely hang in there with a decimated Devils squad. This Oilers team is so sub-standard.

Hahahaha... down 3 - 2. Gross.

Everyone outside of McDavid and Drai are trash on this team.

It really is ridiculous how little pride the rest of this teams has. Without 29 they are a bottom 5 team in the league.

I think it is fair to say this is a two man team. When everybody is going good they can compete with anyone. When the dynamic duo can't make magic this team is in trouble. An injury to one or both will be devastating.

No chance on the second goal but Skinner totally lost what was happening in the third. Looked just awful floating in with all that open space to his right. Bleh. Painful game to watch overall. Both teams look like they’re going through the motions.

That was a perfect screen on the third goal as well. Our D need to start clearing the space in front of the net. Skinner has trouble on pucks he can see, no need to make it even harder on him.

Not a goalie expect but IMO, Skinner had room to look around. See more active goalies making way more effort than he did there to follow the play. He seemed pretty content to look at the backs of players.

D could be better too for sure. Pretty lazy night for lots of guys.

Won't win anything with Skinner in net but entire team just looks lost right now. Offense also just isn't doing enough. Season is drastically crumbling

Man, I thought Skinner had a decent game tonight. His team-mates aren't making things happen like they did before the 4 Nations Cup.

These last ~2 months, this looks like a team that is already foreseeing playoff disappointment. So little fire in this group. Had 2 exciting periods vs Dallas with the new guys running around throwing some hits, and quickly back to "meh". Couldn't even go a full game with these guys acting like they are a top team.

Sometimes wish we just got swept vs Florida. At least you come from that knowing you have to be way better. The deflating game 7 after the almost comeback may still be crushing for some of these guys. Lots of guys on this team just never got rolling this year. Thank goodness for Drai playing maybe the best hockey of his career though. He had a bit of a different experience last playoffs, basically his ability to perform robbed from him in game 1 against the Canucks. He knows if that didn't happen, he likely helps us take it.

Bingo. Pietrangelo set the precedence the year before and the NHL rubber stamped it. That's how you stop the Oilers. Teams will try to do the same thing this year because why wouldn't you?

They look like they may never win again. If McDavid and Draisaitl aren’t on the ice, it just feels like we are zero threat to even get dangerous chances, never mind score. Getting pretty disillusioned on Knoblauch…

I just kinda hate watching this team right now. It's like they climbed to 3rd overall in the league and felt that was good.

The rollercoaster that is the Edmonton Oilers team psyche over the last three seasons needs to be studied.
