Rare goalie steal for us
Can’t believe we allowed a breakaway after being gifted the PP with 2 mins to go.

Zero chance we win that with Skinner in net. Helluva game by Pickard.

Leon is the most unselfish player in the league. Just zero interest in padding his stats with empty net goals like some of the other ENG merchants.
I really hope someone (preferably in the West) gives Rantanen a massive contract.

No kidding. Realistically, this OIL team should NOT have gotten 2 points in this one. Unless this is the type of goaltending that true contending teams get on a regular basis.
...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

Gotta look back at rocket wins and ENG’s needed to get it. Drai doing all he can this year to get the rocket without easy goals.

It honestly looks like he views it as embarrassing.

Skinner would have had some great stories after the game about yucking it up and high fiveing in the crease with Carolina players that were running into him though...not to mention his moustache.

Yeah that was gawd awful.. stupid stupid stupid.. sums up the entire problem with this team.. "creating" ways to lose.. how do you allow that to happen? .. if that's Skinner in net it goes to OT.
The team owes Pickard a shut out.

McDavid had a lot of get up and go tonight, but he's looking really mortal these days. I hate to say it gang, however I think the days of McDavid looking like he's playing hockey at a different level than anyone else might be done.
Maybe I'm wrong... but it definitely seems like he's just another dude out there now. Still incredible at times, however far less frequently, and playable by a lot of defensemen now. He clearly doesn't scare people like he once did. Leon is... and by a wide margin, the best player on this team right now. He has been this whole season.

Arvedsson, Skinner .. looking pretty slow and ineffective out there with Leon.. no cycle, no net presence, weak puck possession.. you could see coach was trying to use Leon with some actual goal scores .. like Perry.. guy goes to the front of the net and is hard on the stick.. GWG.
Oilers could use two top-6 upgrades at wing.. but too late for that.. no one is giving up those guys.. and if they were cost would be astronomical..
Such a lack of speed at wing.
