What a garbage stretch of games. They haven't been this terrible as a group for a while.
5 minutes left and there is ZERO chance they are coming back. Very confident in that assessment.
No life, no energy, no anything.

This is so predictable. Skinner is a brutal goalie and Bouchard isn't the guy, fyi (Oilers management, do something about it... JC).

Well, they kept to 4 tonight. Little improvements to a larger goal!
Florida on Thursday, Carolina on Saturday.

As soon as we were in the conversation for the division lead again this team has been total garbage, aside from maybe Drai. We had no choice but to get into 1st for a while because Vegas went on a slump for us, but now it's leaving us behind again, and the Kings could jump over us any time.
Fragile team, from the goalie out this year. No idea what the problem is, so many guys are just not with it this year. If Drai wasn't setting the world on fire we would be so screwed this season. Only 24 games left to start looking like a contender again.
Just to note, it's starting to get undeniable that we once again had an abysmal summer before another extremely pivotal season for the McDavid/Drai era. Aside from the offersheets even. Ceci for Emberson and Podz were the only good moves, but those are just to fill depth spots. We blew our cap space like dopes July 1st and once again did not properly address any of the actual holes on the team.
Extremely poor management just keeps being a handicap for this team. Still on pace to be the only team to not win a cup after the hockey gods blessed a team with a clear generational player. Hoping for some kind of deadline miracle from Bowman, but giving goaltending and top 4 RHD is probably hardest at the deadline.

This "fragility" that Knoblauch is talking about in the post-game should be a nice little kick in the junk for a lot of guys on the team.
How is one of the oldest, if not THE oldest teams in the league... "fragile"? Suck it up, buttercup. Play with some heart, effort, and don't follow the Evan Bouchard manual for hockey... and we'll start winning again.
Fragile... pffft

This team is hot garbage.
So many lazy turnovers.. from vets.
Bouchard is a big steaming heap of it.. I haven't seen such a dopey lazy play on that 2nd goal all year.. by anyone.. useless.. and he started the game off by doing the exact same thing he did last game.. passes it right on a TB forward's stick in the slot for a wide open shot on Skinner.. just pure dumb ass.
Good thing Oilers never signed him earlier this year for what he was asking for. He's a poor defenseman.. he plays decent power play and that's about it.. when you have the man advantage on the PP his defensive deficiencies are less noticeable.. but not eliminated.. he's always good for a break away off a turnover on the PP .. no awareness.
He's not a rookie, he's 25.. currently on his 4th full season.. and not trending in the right direction.

J. Skinner, Arvedson, not looking top six worthy as it was expected..
Slower than expected, and not scoring.
Janmark, Henrique, Brown, Kapanen regressing
Nuge looks slower..
McDavid on his own.. only respite he gets is when he's on the PP with Leon.

Getting really sick of Drai being the only guy to show up, Bouchard's AWFUL giveaways, and Skinner letting in weak goals that kill any momentum we may have.
