Akey didn't play last night.. must still not be 100%.. smart to stay out.. he had double shoulder surgery.. has a career to think about.. don't need another Klefbom..

Akey played tonight for Barrie.. first game since his injury last November.. good sign.. no points in a 2-1 win.

Saw Marc Lajoie play last night at UBC.. U of A Bears vs T-Birds.. 5-3 Bears..
Lajoie really stood out (he's 6'-6").. nobody got past him.. like a human eraser.. he was the D-man on the ice.. for either side.. .. played PP1 as well..
Lajoie's played 7 games.. 2 G + 6A = 8pts..
Awesome game.. fast.. and hard.. high compete level from both sides. Basically ex- CHL/WHL players that have aged out.. its good tough hockey..
I'm hoping Oilers sign this kid as soon as the season is over..

Both Savoie and O'Reilly looking pedestrian this season.. Matt Savoie is looking Carter Part II
O'Reilly on a strong Knights team and not standing out..

Update on MARC LAJOIE.. Playing U of A Bears
(6'-6" 225 lb. defenceman .. who can skate .. age 21)
Don't look now but he's starting to dominate Canada West Hockey ..
He's currently 5th overall in points for Canada West .. 5G 16A 21pts .. in 21 games.. as a defenceman
and 1st in plus-minus at +21
Go ta Hatrick last night in a 5-2 win over McEwen
Talked about him from the prospects tourney in Penticton.. he was Oilers best defenseman..
Oilers gotta sign this kid before he gets on a lot more radars..
