Too bad the team went to sleep, again, late in front of SKINNER. He must be frustrated with that. nono

...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

Team is still capable of pretty goals and taking advantage of some opportunities. Just gotta see it more often.

That Kapanen to Bouch to McDavid goal was a better passing sequence than our PP has pulled off at any point this year.

The NHL does itself a real disservice with it's scheduling. Compared to the NFL, which has consistent networks and timeslots and games played. The NHL has games that start on any day at almost anytime. They make it really hard to know when to watch and bet.

And since I hate problems without a solution, he's the solution:

3 games Monday at either 4:30 or 7:30 (all times mountain)
10 games Tuesday at either 4:30 or 7:30
3 games Wednesday at either 4:30 or 7:30
10 games Monday at either 4:30 or 7:30
3 games Friday at either 4:30 or 7:30
14 games Saturday at either 11am, 2, 5, or 8
5 games Sunday at either 11am, 2, or 5

48 games total, each team plays 3. Consistent time slots for regional and national games. A natural quadruple header on Saturday. Triple header Sundays. Double headers every freaking weeknight. All of a sudden it's very easy to find games and know when they're on. If you want to do 5 & 8 on weekdays, I'm fine with that.

Just glanced at the Oilers' scoring chart this morning. Without looking who do you think is their third leading scorer among forwards?

If you gave me 5 guesses yesterday, I don't think I would have come up with Janmark but there you go. He's very quietly got 10 points ahead of all non Draisaitl/McDavid forwards. Of course the poor start of RNH, Hyman, J Skinner, Arvidsson is more of a factor than anything.

Got 3 D as our #3,4,5 scorers this year. There has been some serious underachievement by forwards. It's kind of crazy, considering the whole city was celebrating blowing our cap space on July 1st for all forwards.

Drai, Perry and Brown are our only forwards with more goals than expected. Perry and Brown just a fraction of a goal more. The rest of the forwards are collectively 20 goals below their expected.

If luck finally shifts for anyone aside from Drai, should see some guys make themselves noticed again.
