Honestly curious if this team can keep stepping up without McDavid in the lineup :)
But, would definitely take McDavid back if he is 100%.

Nuge has been just awful this season. I always knew he only had 1 gear, but it seems he actually found a gear below the one he has always been stuck in.
Think his kid is 1 year old now, running around the house. Maybe the burdens of adult life starting to drain our eternal baby faced Nuge.
Interested to see how Skinner does with McDavid!

Tend to agree.. he never did seem to have an extra gear in intensity, but it just seems to be more apparent this year.. he never seems to age.. but starting to see signs his legs are not keeping up in longevity.. I'd try Skinner on PP#1 as well.. at least have a shooter that is a threat to score.. PK's don't even worry about Nuge.. over-bias their coverage to Leon, McD, Bouchard.. and Nuge seems to realize the same thing.. guy never shoots.. weak dusted muffins.

I don't like this for the sole reason that no one will ever fell the threat of a healthy scratch to motivate them. Anyone can now play like garbage and know they'll still be in the lineup the next night with only 12 forwards on the roster.
I really hope the Oilers have done their cap math correctly in making all these moves (I assume that's the reason for keeping such a skeleton roster).
