I'm pretty excited to watch this docuseries the NHL has on Prime. Their teaser features the Oilers on their playoff push with McDavid front in centre in the moment of a game with the intensity that he rarely expresses privately. You can hear his fire. man alive. I love hearing that from him, and I'm sure he's not thrilled that it got captured.

This docuseries showcases the entire NHL but the first one looks at last years playoffs and I'm very intrigued to see what they show.

I'm hearing players are not quite enthused on having this around the team, and I can fully understand why.

The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Generally Disappointed.

Just watched the trailer. Whew, that kinda surprised me honestly.

That finals was just brutal for McDavid. I feel for him. Hyman and Drai totally broken. Kane out. Nuge, meh. He spent pretty much that entire series having to do everything himself 5v5, and there was no tougher opponent than that well rested Panthers team for him to have to face. Had his own abdominal injury as well.

Really hope we have some useful wingers for him the next time we are in a finals.

Just finished the first four episodes of this and I couldn't help but notice that of the nine players they've profiled, exactly zero have been Canadian:

Episode 1: William Nylander (Swede) and David Pasternak (Czech)

Episode 2: Jack Eichel (American) and Filip Forsberg (Swede)

Episode 3: Matt Tkachuk (American) and Jeremy Swayman (American)

Episode 4: Quinn Hughes (American), Jacob Trouba (American), and Gabriel Landeskog (Swede)

Interesting choices considering their primary audience is likely Canada.

(And I know it won't last as I know McDavid will be featured in one of the last two episodes).

Maybe that's exactly the case. They know Canadians will watch anyway.

Finished with Hyman & McDavid (and Draisaitl) and Nylander is a dual citizen as he was born in Calgary.

And they did have Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton featured.

I didn't like Pete Blackburn very much. Don't like the edge he brings, and objected to his "middle of nowhere" comment about Edmonton. Also Subban's hockey takes are very old school hockey player for a guy who always seemed kind of cutting edge when he was playing.

Pretty interesting series though. The people side of things was really interesting to see.

Yeah! Edmonton is on the edge of no where.
