Edmonton Oilers @EdmontonOilers

The #Oilers have placed goaltender Jack Campbell on unconditional waivers for the purpose of a buyout.

Redemption story is gonna have to happen somewhere else.

Our pro-scouting for goalies needs to get much better. Went all in on 2 inconsistent headcases in Markstrom and Campbell in Holland's time here. Luckily one didn't want our high bid, although if he did would have saved us from the other. Unless Holland would have bought out Marky to try again with Campbell icon_dead

This is where having a high end GM in place would probably make a difference here. I feel like there have to be better options with Campbell. Either you Joffrey Lupul him, or you find a way to get someone else to take him plus a pick or prospect and let them do the buyout.

That said, better that they're at least resolving it and not simply waiting to see if he's magically bounced back again next fall, pumping up all the wonderful things he did in the summer to turn his life around.

Agree.

If you can get out of PLD's deal, there's a way to get creative.
