It's here, the more I think about this cup final the more I see it as franchise defining series. For all the fantastic memories and hockey we saw with the Dynasty team, they weigh heavy on the franchise. Win this cup and that weight will be lifted and we can move from always looking back at what was, to a club that looks to the future.
I've got us in 6, I've got us to win tonight. Just feel that we need to split these road games and we'll be in a great position. Set a few markers for the series and we'll be happy.

The panthers are good but they are aren't half as good as the amount of hype they are getting. They are only here because Bennett was somehow allowed to Pietrangelo Marchand out of the series.
That's by far my biggest concern. If they are allowed to injure the Oilers best players with the league cheering them on then that's obviously a problem.
IF the Oil stay healthy and get even decent goaltending they win in 5 or 6.

While I don't want to be too optimistic, there's a chance to win this game handily because I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being a McDavid legacy game. The NHL has tonight to themselves on ABC down here, so would be a great time to introduce himself to the rest of the world.

This is it boys! No more worrying about saving anything for another round. Go all out and get'er done! Gonna be a big challenge for our D, they will take a beating. Gotta push back, hope we still have mean Nurse to lay out some punishment. Don't think Florida's D group is THAT tough and physical. I don't think this should be nearly as hard for forwards as the Canucks D group was. Hopefully we can find ways to generate offense 5v5.

Need to watch out for the big early hit - Elkholm getting rocked twice in the first minute in that game against van was not a good start.
