How did McMann get so open for that goal?!

Carrick is terrible. He was covering there, but was 4 feet away.

Not a great play by Vinnie Desharnais either.

Why is Vinnie playing instead of Stecher? For that matter, I’d be fine with giving Ceci the night off in favor of Stecher too.

Both defencemen chased their coverage into the corner, neither forward felt like defending the goal scorer

I blame Nurse, he stepped up at the blueline waved his stick, got neither puck nor man, guy blows right past him.. then Desharnais had to come over from his side to fill in for Nurse.. Carrick took the open man with the puck down low.. nobody took the slot.. Nurse was at the faceoff circle.

I don’t care if they pull it off- this is no way to play a game. Spotting the opponents a five-goal lead is not an advisable move.

Why do I care what Americans think of hockey?

Playing them together makes it easy for the Leafs to focus all their defensive attention on them.

Bettman still has his massive hard-on for the American market. Either that, or it is the usual Toronto obsession with being treated like a ‘Murican city.

It would be nice if Hughson wasn’t actively cheering for the Leafs here. Just brutal.

That's on Sportsnet for insisting the Leafs alone get the best broadcast team. When you do 41 Leaf games a year, you get biased.

That should've been a 5 on 3 on the 1st PP when Edmundson got his stick and arms holding/hooking on 97.. guaranteed 5 on 3 if it were an Oiler PK.

Someone might want to cover Nylander at some point.

I suggest a good crosscheck. It's good defence.

He has right to hfeel that way.. had his feet chopped out twice by a leaf right in front of the refs.. obvious calls .. even homer Simpson said "the Leafs might've dodged one there".. and nada.. Kane rightfully complains.. then a leaf steps on Kane's stick.. nothing close to what happened to Kane.. twice.. .. and Kane goes for two.. looked like ref payback fro openly questioning their calls.. putting their arrogance on full display.. what happens when there is no accountability.

I’m not just talking about one period. And no, he didn’t step on the stick. Kane’s stick went between his skates and it caused a can opener.

Doesn't matter who it is or who they play for whining is a bad look at best and it doesn't accomplish anything positive.
