Well dang. We are conceding that we're the only team that can't get the benefit of Perry taking a goalie out?

OK, all the streams I've tried for this one are absolutely awful. Every single one paused right when Bouch took that shot.

Anyone have one that's working? (Yes, I'm well aware of the OT thread, so feel free to post it there if you have one. I've tried 5-6 different ones from bsport & they're not working. The few that are mostly working keep switching to some highlight show in the middle of the play)

Sure glad I'm paying for all the Snet channels out here. The two that are covering our game are blacked out. Again. Presumably because they're "worried about impacting ticket sales?"

Yeah, I was totally about to book a $1000 7 hour flight to go to Edmonton to watch this game, then pay another $300-400 for accommodations and meals, but then I saw that I could watch it on the channel that I'm paying for each month, so decided not to go to the game...

Nice continuation of the end of the first. Sleepy, sloppy hockey.

Nice pressure from the Blues, but god that was a gross sequence.

Holy... grossssssss hockey. The team looked like pylons on that stretch that resulted in the Vinny penalty. Yuckkkkk.

Blown coverage everywhere. This team has forgotten how to play team D.

Haven't watched Blues hockey in a while. Kinda surprised they can buzz around and make plays as well as they have. Always think of them as this grindy lumbering team.

One day our 1st line should stick around and make sure the puck gets out instead of trying to mad dash out every single time a D gets the puck. Blues all over us. Not really the time to try to gamble on potential zone exits over and over and watch it become a turnover almost every time.

Gross hockey. The Oilers look like they're standing still. Stuck in first gear.

McDavid is the only one skating and doing anything.

They play like this way too often, and then wake up for part of the game. McDavid shaking his head as he heads off the ice... he's had it with the BS efforts. I'm guessing he's going to chew some heads on the bench, or in the dressing room between the second and third.

It might be time for a Captain-suggested bag skate. Obviously the guys aren't in good enough shape to keep up with St. Louis.

Need to work on team fitness, clearly.

Thanks Vinny. You're double the size of that dude hanging out beside the net. You couldn't think of any way to move him other than doing an obvious crosscheck to the chest? Couldn't have leaned on him, or just moved him out of the way legally?

St Louis All Stars are running the slop Oilers out of the barn. Super gross hockey.

So much for the defensive performance from January... back to being a tire fire in their own zone, and on the PK. Crushed.

Earlier I was complaining that I couldn't find a solid stream. Since I found one we've given up 3 goals on brainless plays. Guess I'll just tune out as we were doing better when I wasn't watching...

what a s**t storm.

18, 97 and 93 on ice for 3 against 5v5.. Bouchard on ice for 4 GA 5v5.

McD's line 2 and 14 started the S**t show at the start of the 2nd.. couldn't get puck possession for about 3 minutes.. then cough up a goal.

Maybe don't play Bouchard with McDavid's line when you have a lead.

.. If there was an extra 0.5 seconds in the 1st it would be 6-2

This team is a mess defensively.. took a hot-tub time machine back to October

Maybe work in 55 on the PK.. at least he has the quickness to pressure the pointmen

I mean it hasn’t been great, but Binnington absolutely robbed the Oilers no less than 4 times. A couple of those go in and it’s a different game.

And Binnington is so thin-skinned...it'll be interesting to see if he holds it together if we can get another. We're not out of this by any stretch.

Think Binnington helped flip our team back into cheating for offense mode. The kind of mode that tanked the first part of our season. This team has been off since maybe game 13 or so of the win streak. Really need to find a way to play a solid all round game again.

Only saw the first 2 periods. I didn't think he was too bad. Blues ending up with pucks in bad spots to hit open net. D missing guys, a fluke deflection of a pass right to the stick of a Blue with the whole.net to shoot at, forwards bailing and not helping cover anyone. Usual Oilers stuff. Binnington obviously much better than Skinner though.

It was a team fire drill tonight.. when they weren't on the PK 8 times.. Skinner made some good/great saves.. Bennington played better.. Oiler d-zone was chaos for much of game.

So much of what ails this team right now is effort. They just don't give a damn for too much of the game.

Plus, I'm noticing that quick and agile teams make our home squad look like lumbering ogres. St Louis has a tonne of depth and talent and they are rolling the Oilers hard tonight.

Oilers are going to be lucky to not give up an 8 spot tonight. Great penalty by Ceci.

And now Vinny goes and gets a 4 minute minor. Desharnais having a whale of a bad game.
