Humbled by 2 rivals in 3 games. Barely beat the Ducks

Team needs to wake up quick

The sky is not falling. Simmer. Vegas game was close. Hardly a humbling experience. Ducks was sloppy, but that seems to be an Achilles Heel for this team. When the bottom feeders play a disjointed game, the Oilers falter. Still had enough to win which is all that matters.

Coach is confusing himself with his D combos because he does know what to do with Ceci and desharnais. Teams has been losing steam since game 13 or so of that win streak.

We are making the playoffs for sure, but still solid signs this team still needs work. Both in the game plan and roster improvement

To be expected. Let me know about a team that’s got it figured out?

Vegas. They are even working now on the required narratives to be able to add 10M+ worth of players at the deadline using LTIR space.

Kelly McCrimmon is probably having a night out on the town with Vegas local George Parros right now :)

Aside from Cap manipulation the Kinights are struggling to play .500 hockey since we mid December. It’s long season.

For whatever reason the puck wouldn’t settle down for the Oilers for the first 30 minutes and McDavid looked especially disjointed with every entry until maybe the last 10 minutes. The break seems to have worked against the Oilers so far. It’s not like they forgot how to play hockey this week. They will bounce back.

Confidence is high.

Puck wouldn’t settle down for the first half the game and then Rittich looked unbeatable. McDavid fought the puck most of the night.

Wasn’t our night. Put this one behind us.

Corey Perry at 38 years old, on a second half of a back to back, on shi tty ice, might be the slowest skater I have ever seen.

Chalking it up to a bad game. They happen. Going against another hot team in a playoff spot next. Detroit won’t be easy

I do like seeing him on the 2nd PP unit though...whatever 10-20 seconds he gets on it...such a pest.

Would've preferred seeing the Oilers getting the Kings first on the back to back but I don't make the sched...whatever...not that sharp on an off night...move on

Maybe it’s just me, but Nuge has been ultra frustrating lately. It’s like EVERYTHING is dying with him. November Bouchard seems to be a slow creeping re-emergence too.

Need a strong win on Tuesday.

Nuge hasn't been very good for a while now. Very much a non factor.

I saw this game coming. I hoped it wouldn't happen but I figured the Oilers would be in extremely tough to win.

Emotional game a few of days before to break the streak. They lost the streak in a game they outplayed their opponent.

Second game of a back to back.

Kings hate the Oilers as they are the team that has bounced them twice so they get up for the game.

First game back for the Kings after their break so they are rested and have been prepping. That was the Oilers 3rd game in 5 days.

First game after they fired the coach. It's pretty rare you don't see the team after their coach gets fired, not come out fired up the next game.

The Kings were clearly very pumped up for the game, the Oilers were not. I thought I heard they have a basketball game that day so the ice looked like crap. I don't think I have seen McD look that bad in a game ever. He couldn't handle the puck at all.

Park the game and move on. They have lost 2 games in 2 months. They had a bad night, they happen.
