Would have been nice to slot Patrick Kane into the lineup tonight, but Brown will have to be do instead.

Looking for some mild revenge. Been on a high goal streak so I think there's a good chance we outscore our problems tonight. Vegas playing back-to-back and all.

Statement game for the Oilers. Win, and Holland is once again a genius. Lose, and probably should just burn it all down.

That's the way it is, isn't it? icon_lol

Before the season, most hockey people across the NHL picked the roster that Holland put together as the cup favorites. The players in my opinion absolutely buckled under the pressure of expectation and played about as bad as they possibly could on top of a couple of key guys started off banged up and suddenly the roster is garbage and the GM is dumb.

Now a few guys got healthier but more correctly, pulled their head out of their ass and suddenly, the same guys look better.

No, the GM is still dumb and the roster is poorly constructed. Just look at the third line center. Is that the third line center of a stanley cup winner?

Many fans, including some pretty prominent posters in here thought McLeod was and wanted him signed for more money and way longer.

I remember the McLeod arbitration discussion differently. I think our collective wisdom wanted less, but made a generally accurate predictions. Not that what we think (or want) really matters. What definitely matters is the NHL GM, who has a lot of NHL GMing experience and some NHL playing experience, thought the contract was acceptable.
